All instrumental lessons are held in Pencaitland.

2023-24 Prices

Prices for 23/24 remain the same as last year.

1:1 – £18 for 30 mins / £27 for 45 mins

2:1 – £12 for 30 mins / £16 for 45 mins

Group instrumental or specialist group (3 or 4 pupils) – £12 for 45 mins.

Level 1 Musicianship – £8 (45 mins). Currently not available

Level 2 Instrument tasters – £12 (45 mins or 30 mins if 2:1). Currently not available

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL GROUP LESSONS OF MORE THAN 2 STUDENTS ARE PAID BY MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION.

All other lessons are charged at the end of each month on a pay as you go basis.

You will be required to register with GoCardless for all payments, which is a secure direct debit platform. No-one at MYM will see your bank details.

We understand that you might want to try out a few lessons before committing to a regular slot or payment and we can arrange this on a pay as you go basis. We can also offer short term blocks for pupils who might be sitting SQA qualifications, for example, and these can also be paid without the need to set up a direct debit or subscription.

We focus far more on what is best for the students than on the finances, so please don’t let payment issues be a barrier to getting in touch. We have so far always managed to accommodate everyone.
